Check out our list of the top 5 best female Valorant players of all time

Esports, historically not the most inclusive space for female gamers, has seen a shift towards becoming more and more welcoming in recent years. All major esports games, such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and Apex Legends, have formed women-only leagues to help grow the female players in esports. Valorant is doing the same. Riot Games introduced Game Changers, a separate, high-stakes series of events exclusively for women and other marginalized genders.

VCT Game Changers have been immensely successful so far, both in terms of competitiveness and viewership. It has also brought the spotlight to several super-talented players across different regions. Here’s our take on the top 5 female Valorant players from this pool of exceptional talent.

Best Female Valorant Players- Updated end of 2023

Among the players who have participated in the three Game Changers seasons, our list highlights the crème de la crème. These are the 5 best female Valorant players of all time who have consistently demonstrated top-tier Valorant skills.

5. Natália “daiki” Vilela

  • Current Team: Team Liquid Brazil
  • Role: Initiator

The South American Game Changers scene has historically been quieter compared to EMEA and NA. Although Team Liquid Brazil had some successes here and there, those were overshadowed by their inability to surpass the top contenders from Europe and North America, like in the 2022 Game Changers Championship. This, however, changed in 2023, with daiki and Co. almost clinching the title. The Brazillians upset the defending Champion, G2 Gozen, but fell just short against the Shopify Rebellion in the Grand Final.

While TL’s success was definitely the result of a team effort, it is hard to see them achieve as much without Daiki being the impactful player she is. Her pivotal role in their achievements goes beyond mere scoreboard numbers. To truly understand what the 19-year-old brings to the table, you need to watch the game closely, especially during high-pressure situations. It’s her ability to excel under pressure that truly sets her apart.

4. Odella “enerii” Abraham

  • Current Team: Team SMG GC
  • Role: Duelist

Team SMC GC has astounded everyone last season with their unconventional gameplay. From peculiar team comp to an incredibly aggressive style of play, the Singaporean team had it all. Spearheading the team was the 21-year-old duelist extraordinaire enerii.

Team SMG GC entered the Game Changers Championship with an unparalleled 33-match-win streak. Enerii, being the primary duelist on the team, was on a tear in nearly every match she played. Even in her first international event, the 2023 Game Changers Championship, the Indonesian’s performance remained stellar. Save for florescent from SR, no other participant matched her exceptional ACS of 255.6 in the event.

3. Michaela “mimi” Lintrup

  • Current Team: G2 Gozen
  • Role: IGL/Initiator

mimi has been the face of EMEA GC for quite a while now. Part of G2 Gozen, the most successful Game Changers org to date, mimi plays an integral role on the team. G2 have undergone multiple roster changes despite their significant success. However, mimi has remained the sole constant in the team, serving as the backbone of the roster.

We saw mimi playing the support role from the very beginning. As an initiator/sentinel main, she did not have the most fiery entry to the scene, but her impactful presence was soon felt by the community increasingly with each passing day.

Right now, the Dane is considered the best Initiator player in the Game Changers. Despite playing a support role, the numbers she put on the scoreboard are absurd. In the 2022 GC Champ that Gozen won, she was 4th in terms of impact rating. Even in the last GC Championship, where Gozen failed to perform as per expectations, the 26-year-old was the best-performing player within the team with a tournament rating of 1.08.

2. Melanie “meL” Capone

  • Current Team: Shopify Rebellion
  • Role: IGL/Flex

Witnessing meL’s growth throughout her career is nothing short of remarkable. Transitioning from the primary Operator of a team to assuming the mantle of an IGL has been a defining progression for her. While her role may have shifted, her impact remains profound. The once-fragging machine is right now considered the best IGL in the GC scene.

meL started her Valorant career with a team called MAJKL back in 2020. Following initial success, the team got signed by Cloud9, and she did not have to look back after that. In 2021, C9 White showcased unprecedented dominance, winning every single Game Changers event. This winning streak continued until next year’s GC Championship when they suffered their first elimination in a GC event.

The only accolade that had eluded meL after her run with C9 was an international title, which she secured in 2023 by winning the VCT GC Championship with Shopify Rebellion. No matter whether we consider individual performances or team success, there is no questioning meL’s position as one of the best female Valorant players ever. With her being only 23, the American will only reach greater heights, with many distinguished pros already regarding her as one of the GC talents capable of competing in the Tier-1 leagues.

1. Ava “florescent” Eugene

  • Current Team: Shopify Rebellion
  • Role: Duelist

The debate about who holds the title of the best player in VCT is always ongoing. However, when it comes to Game Changers, the name Ava “florescent” Eugene stands unquestionably at the top. Bursting onto the professional scene at just 16 years old in the 2022 season, she immediately became well-known thanks to her unparalleled mechanical prowess. Despite coming short when it comes to team success, the Canadian’s sheer dominance in the server during that time secured her a place in the newly formed Version1 roster for the 2023 season.

Teaming up with NA’s finest talents, such as meL, sarah, and Alexis, flor unleashed her full potential and then some. Starting her season during the GC NA series 1, she instantly solidified her status as one of NA’s most mechanically gifted prodigies. In the subsequent events, her brilliance continued to shine, proving to the world that she is no one-season wonder.

The ultimate test, however, awaited her at the 2023 VCT Game Changers Championship, where she’d face off against the very best of the GC scene worldwide. Remarkably, the duelist-main did not disappoint and emerged as the tournament’s MVP while topping every category on the stats board.
