Blast powder is a resource in Lego Fortnite that you’ll need to collect to make items like dynamite and the grappler. It’s relatively easy to find — it’s just a matter of tracking the enemies that drop it upon defeat.

How to get blast powder in Lego Fortnite
To get blast powder in Lego Fortnite, you will have to beat the skeletons that wear cowboy hats and bandanas. (It’s possible that other enemies drop blast powder, but these enemies were very easy to find with little preparation and spawned frequently. Because of these reasons, we’ll walk you through finding these particular enemies.)
To find these enemies, you will need to start by going to the “dry valley” desert biome at night. If you’re not prepared for the heat, that’s not an issue. These enemies only spawn at night so you don’t need to worry about the desert heat. You don’t need any special charms or equipment; Just make sure you bring some torches so you can see and to keep your character a bit warmer at night.

Run around until you find the skeletons that wear cowboy hats and bandanas. They shouldn’t be hard to find because they tend to spawn in groups and you can see the glow of their torches from a distance. Once you find a group, go and fight them. I used the uncommon longsword and easily fought them by myself. It just takes a few swings.
Not every skeleton wearing a hat or bandana will drop blast powder, but I found that we could easily get one to three kegs of powder for each group I fought.
What you’ll use blast powder for in Lego Fortnite
Blast powder is a lot more useful as you reach later stages of the game. You need it to make the grappler, a plunger gun that allows you to reach higher areas easily. It can also be used to make explosives like dynamite and the boom barrel. You’ll also need it if you want to make moving machines. Blast powder is necessary for both the large thruster and the small thruster, in addition to the activation switch.
