Cord is a resource in Lego Fortnite that you’ll need to collect to make items like the recurve crossbow and grappler. Cord is harder to find pre-made, but super easy to make yourself — once you have the proper crafting tools.

How to get cord in Lego Fortnite
In my experience, I opened a few chests while exploring caves that contained cord. However, it’s easier to just go and make it. To do that, though, you’ll need to make a spinning wheel.
How to make a spinning wheel in Lego Fortnite
To make cord, you will need to make a spinning wheel first. To unlock the spinning wheel blueprint, you will need to upgrade your village to level three. To make one you will need 8 planks, 5 wooden rods, 5 wood, and 5 wolf claws. Once you make the spinning wheel, you just need to go and get vines. The easiest way to get a lot of vines really quickly is to go and slash bushes. I just ran around and cut bushes with my shortsword in the grasslands biome. It only took me ten or so minutes to gather dozens of vines. and I gathered dozens of vines within ten or so minutes.

Once you have plenty of vines, go to the spinning wheel you made. You can now make cord. You will need 5 vines for each cord you make.
What you’ll use cord for in Lego Fortnite
Cord is a pretty useful resource needed for several items. To start off, you can use cord to make the common recurve crossbow, the grappler, and the knight shield. You also need cord to create a resource called drawstring, which is used to make the uncommon and rare versions of the recurve crossbow. If you want to be a sharpshooter, you’ll definitely need plenty of cord.
