While players with only a PS5 or PS4 at home haven’t been able to experience Bethesda’s latest outing, they can still play most of everything else the studio has made over the years. For now, there’s only the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with a native PS5 version, and we know that a Fallout 4 native PS5 version is in the pipeline, but fans will have to wait a little longer, as Bethesda has revealed it’s been delayed into 2024.Announced through the Fallout franchise’s official Twitter account, Bethesda thanked players for their patience but that the team needs “a bit more time.”“Thank you for your patience with us as we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update. We know you’re excited, and so are we! But we need a bit more time and look forward to an exciting return to the Commonwealth in 2024.”When the update is ready, it’ll be a free update that players will just be able to download and return to the Commonwealth wasteland with a current-gen refresh, and potentially even some quality-of-life upgrades for players to enjoy.Source – [Bethesda]
