Dragon Age Origins achievements show who Xbox players are thirsty for

This week, fans of BioWare’s fantasy games celebrated their love for the franchise with Dragon Age Day, which the developer joined in with by dropping a Dragon Age: Dreadwolf tease. With love in the air, we decided to take a look at Xbox achievement data to see which Dragon Age companion the Xbox community has romanced the most in Dragon Age: Origins, as it’s the only game in the series with achievement data related to specific romance options.Dragon Age: Origins features four romanceable companions: Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan, and Zevran. Due to each companion having an Xbox achievement linked to experiencing ‘the thrill of romance,’ we can see who Xbox players like spending their time with when not holding back the legions of darkspawn in one of the best Xbox RPGs!Looking at the Dragon Age: Origins achievements data, the most romanced character is, unsurprisingly, the Witch of the Woods, Morrigan, who is just an awesome character. Data for the Witch Gone Wild achievement reveals that 37% of TrueAchievements members who have popped an achievement in the game and 19% of the global Dragon Age: Origins Xbox community have romanced the “sneaky witch thief.” Following Morrigan is Leliana with the Wine, Woman, and Song achievement, which has been unlocked by 23% of TrueAchievements members and 9% of the global Xbox community. Zevran isn’t too far behind Leliana, however, as the Easy Lover achievement has been unlocked by 22% of the TrueAchievements community who have played the game and 8% of global Dragon Age: Origins Xbox players. That leaves poor Alistair in fourth place, whose First Knight achievement has been unlocked by 17% of TrueAchievements members and just 7% of global Xbox players — sorry Alistair! We’re not surprised that Morrigan has come out on top here due to her being a great character and having one of the more interesting story arcs that plays out, but also because she is one of the first characters you can romance. However, you can only romance her if you’re a male warden; females will have to look elsewhere for companionship. If you’re following a guide, it’s actually possible to get her corresponding achievement the first time you hit camp, so that could account for the higher numbers of unlocks. While grey warden and fan-favorite Alistair’s romance options are also available early into the game, he is one of the trickier characters to impress, and as such, many players likely wouldn’t stumble on this achievement without focusing on it.Both Leliana and Zevran are found later on in the game, and although the sneaky assassin Zevran is one of the easiest characters to romance (he really isn’t fussy about who or what you are), players who might not have vibed with Dragon Age: Origins might well have fallen off the game before reaching him. As for the Lay Sister of the Chantry, Leliana, despite a potential dialogue glitch, she can also be romanced fairly early into the main story, by a male or female Warden, which would potentially explain her spot in second place. On the upside, though, 11% of TrueAchievements members who unlocked an achievement in the game and 3% of the global Dragon Age: Origins Xbox players have been greedy and unlocked the Hopelessly Romantic achievement for experiencing all possible romances. That means Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan, and Zevran are all winners here! We can rest easy now.If you’re an EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, you can play Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition via your membership now. See you in Thedas.
