The Game Awards 2023 is nearly here and it promises a night filled with blockbuster reveals, musical performances, and recognition for the greatest games to be released this past year. From The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to Baldur’s Gate 3 to Alan Wake 2 to Super Mario Bros. We’ll also have extended reveals of some of The Game Awards’ biggest games!How to Watch The Game Awards 2023 LivestreamThe Game Awards 2023 will kick off on December 7 with a 30-minute pre-show at 4:30pm PT/7:30pm ET. The main show will begin at 5pm PT/8pm ET and is expected to run for roughly three hours according to The Game Awards website.If you live in the GMT or AEST timezones, this translates to 12:30am GMT/10:30am AEST on December 8 for the pre-show and 1am GMT/11am AEST on December 8 as well.We here at IGN will be hosting a pre-show for The Game Awards that takes place at 4pm PT/7pm ET before the official festivities begin, and, as we previously mentioned, we’ll be back after the show to break down all the biggest news and reveals from the night!Where to Watch The Game Awards 2023 OnlineWe’re hosting the stream for The Game Awards 2023 here, on IGN.com, and on our accounts across all major platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, and Facebook. That first roundtable will just be first taste of the experience with a second taste happening on December 11 before getting the full course on December 13!Best Reviewed Games of 2023What to Expect From The Game Awards 2023 As we mentioned, The Game Awards is always one of the biggest nights in the video game world as it not only honors the great games and developers of the past year, but it also give fans an exciting look into the future with game announcements, trailers, and reveals.You can check out the full list of The Game Awards 2023 nominees below, but we can quickly say that Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 are at the head of the pack with 8 nominations each. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 received seven nominations and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder nabbed five.As for Game of the Year, it will be a tough battle between Alan Wake 2, Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.Geoff Keighley will once again be the host of The Game Awards, and he and the team have already begun teasing some of the big moments and guest stars of the show. These include the return of Flute Guy, a new game from Sharkmob and Level Infinite, the world premiere of Fortnite’s Rocket Racing reveal trailer, and guest presenters like The Muppets’ Gonzo and Kratos voice actor Christopher Judge. Oh, and we’ll get a performance from Poets of the Fall as the Alan Wake 2 in-universe band Old Gods of Asgard that was based on them. As for other announcements, they can truly be anything from the biggest AAA games to the titles from the smallest but mightiest one-person developer teams. For context, The Game Awards 2022 show revealed Final Fantasy 16’s release date, had Armored Core 6 and Death Stranding 2 announcements, the news of Idris Elba starring in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and much more.While many will be hoping for more Grand Theft Auto 6, Rockstar has already staked its claim on December 5 for the reveal of the game’s much-anticipated first trailer. Could we get something else at The Game Awards?
