The Super Mario RPG Remake is more than just a visual upgrade of the original. The new game has recaptured the magic of the beloved 1996 title and introduces exciting new features, which fans have warmly embraced. One such addition is the Triple Move, a fantastic feature where all party members team up for a mighty attack. What is the best Super Mario RPG Triple Move? I tried to answer that question by ranking all Triple Moves from the least to most impressive.
What is the Best Super Mario RPG Triple Move?
There are seven Super Mario RPG Triple Moves in total. Here is how they rank in our book:
7. Spare Us All
Party Members: Mario, Peach, Geno

Peach creates a magical shield with her parasol that protects the party from any form of attack. This could have been an excellent option to have if you could have used it to block a string of attacks, but you can block only one. It, therefore, is incredibly difficult to decide when to use this move. I barely used it.
6. Toad Attack
Party Members: Mario plus any one member/ Mario alone

The Toad Attack is handy when you’re in a tight spot with just Mario and one other party member or even just Mario alone. Toad steps in to assist, but he can’t deliver a heavy blow to your enemy. It’s a useful choice, nonetheless, when you’re outnumbered and need an extra option.
5. Star Riders
Party Members: Mario, Mallow, Geno

Whoa, hang on a second! Wondering why this fan-favorite move ranks fifth? While Star Riders packs a serious punch, I’m not a fan because it only targets one enemy. It’s perfect for bosses but not so useful against multiple foes. It takes quite a while to power up and ends up being a very specific move for certain situations.
4. Starry Shell Spikes
Party Member: Mario, Peach, Bowser

Starry Shell Spike is pure Mario magic! Bowser starts to spin, Peach gives him an Invincibility Star, and then Mario boots him, launching him like a cannonball. This move can knock out numerous enemies and stands as the mightiest among Triple Moves, aiming at multiple enemies. The absence of additional effects, however, stops it from seizing the title of the best Super Mario RPG Triple Move.
3. Shooting Star Shot
Party Members: Mario, Geno, Bowser

This one is also a contender for the top spot. You get to unleash the Shooting Star Shot when the power gauge is full, and Mario, Geno, and Bowser are in your team. Mario and Bowser launch Geno into the air, and he strikes five different targets from above. I’m impressed by the damage it deals, but it didn’t seem to buff the other characters as it says. What am I not doing right, Nintendo?
2. Clown Car Barrage
Party Members: Mario, Mallow, Bowser

Mario, Mallow, and Bowser team up in Bowser’s clown car. Mario and Mallow start with Lightning, Fire, and Ice attacks, then Bowser delivers an explosive bomb drop. It’s a combo of elemental strikes and a powerful hit for all enemies. I found it incredibly effective in the early stages of the game, but as the game progresses, the enemies become more immune to elemental damage. For this reason, you should exploit it early on in the game.

Healing Rainbow
Party Members: Mario, Mallow, Peach

Healing Rainbow is the Triple Move that impressed me the most. Mario and Peach power up Mallow, who creates a magical rainbow that replenishes the health bars of all allies. You can also heal and resurrect benched characters with this move, so it’s very useful during heated battles.
