Known insider Dusk Golem has revealed that Capcom still has a major title set to be revealed in late 2023 (at this point, there’s not much time left for a reveal) that will launch in 2024. Furthermore, he claimed that there will be no Resident Evil remakes releasing next year.Writing on The Snitch’s discord server, the Resident Evil leaker commented on a number of topics, including shooting down a recent Resident Evil CODE: Veronica Remake rumour that’s been doing the rounds one 4chan. But anyways, there is a big Capcom game that’s being announced in late 2023 and releasing in 2024. But it is not a Resident Evil game. I will say that 4cha rumour is bollacks [sic], its someone making shit up. But there is no RE remakes coming out in 2024, I promise that. This is probably the game that Capcom themselves have said is planned to launch by the end of its current fiscal year. As for Resident Evil CODE: Veronica, there’s been hopes that the game will be remade, as it’s a crucial entry in the franchise and is by far in greater need of a modern touching up compared to the likes of Resident Evil 5 or 6. Having said that, Capcom hasn’t announced anything yet, but hasn’t ruled it out all the same. [Source – Dusk Golem via ResetEra]
