Big news for Starfield players on PC, as Bethesda has announced that Nvidia DLSS support will be added to Starfield next week. The feature will only be available via Steam Beta initially so the team can get player feedback before rolling it out to all players alongside additional optimizations and improvements on Xbox Series X|S and PC.If you’ve been unlocking the Starfield achievements on an Nvidia-based computer and have been missing the company’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, fear not, as Bethesda will be adding it to Steam Beta next week. As for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3, Bethesda says that support will be added in the future but is yet to give us a timeframe.“This update will feature Nvidia DLSS support with frame generation, display and HDR controls for supported systems, and other optimizations and improvements,” Bethesda said in an announcement on X. “You’ll be able to opt-in to try it via the Steam Beta options. We’d love your feedback before it goes live for all PC and Xbox players after that.”We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out the specific improvements coming with the update, but you can be sure that we’ll let you know once they’re confirmed. In other Starfield news, Microsoft’s financial report last week revealed that Starfield smashed the company’s record for the most Xbox Game Pass subscriptions made in a single day.If you still haven’t checked out Starfield and you’re not sure if its for you, check out our Starfield review to see our full thoughts on Bethesda’s hit sci-fi RPG.
