Remnant II’s first DLC, The Awakened King, finally has a launch date

If you’ve finished all the Remnant II achievements and you’re hankering for more, then we’ve got good news for you, as Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games have announced the release date for the game’s first major DLC. The Awakened King DLC launches on November 14 for Xbox Series X|S, alongside PS5 and PC.This DLC expands on the story, adding new dungeons and areas to explore in the world of Losomn, one of the many worlds that featured in the base game. The new story focuses on the One True King, a corrupted and mad king who has awoken and seeks revenge against those who oppose him.Naturally, these new areas will add new foes to fight and new bosses to conquer, along with a new player archetype to try out — the Ritualist — who uses status effects to defeat their foes.Remnant II is a co-op survival shooter in which players battle to save humanity. Tom checked it out earlier this year when we did our Remnant II preview, and he loved the challenging combat and stunning visuals. This new DLC promises more of the same, with loads of new foes to vanquish and gorgeous environments to explore, so if you loved the base game, be sure to check out the DLC when it launches in a couple of weeks time.The Awakened King DLC will cost $10 on its own, but you can also pick it up as part of the DLC bundle, which will include two further expansions, for $25. If you have already purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game, then you will have access to the DLC when it launches.
