Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox release inches closer, now being “actively playtested”

Perhaps there won’t be too much longer to wait before we can start hunting down those Baldur’s Gate 3 achievements, as Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke reiterates the game is still set for an Xbox launch this year.We don’t yet have a date for Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox, but Larian Studios has been clear it’s set to arrive later this year, and Larian Studios’ Vincke has shared a bit of info on the team’s progress.”Latest on the Xbox — being actively playtested, still on schedule for this year. We’ll announce the exact release date when we’re sure it’s done,” Vincke says.Just last week, Larian Studios had reassured players about Baldur’s Gate 3 still coming to Xbox this year. It’s easy to understand the anxiety for Xbox players to get their hands on it — by all accounts, the game is nothing short of excellent, and we’re all keen to get stuck in. Earlier in the month, Vincke shared an update on the Xbox release window, saying it could arrive “between September and November”. We move into November tomorrow, so here’s hoping Baldur’s Gate 3 comes to Xbox soon.
