The Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man (FNSM) app requests are back in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, allowing the hero to communicate with the citizens of New York and help them. Although many of FNSM’s core features remain unchanged, the developers have implemented subtle alterations.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the FNSM (Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man) App serves as a direct channel for the residents of New York to submit their requests to the Spider-Men. These app requests appear intermittently as concerned citizens seek assistance.
In this guide, we will provide a detailed breakdown of three Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 App requests and guide you through the steps to successfully complete each mission.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 FNSM App Requests: Find Grandpa, Rooftop Fireworks, Photo Help
There are six Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 missions in total. In the following list, you’ll find three of these missions, along with the solutions on how to resolve each one.
1. Find Grandpa
Rewards: 600 XP, 2x Hero Tokens, 200 Tech Parts
Available After Completing “The Suit Is Sandy” Main Mission
Completing the main storyline mission “Suit is Sandy” is a prerequisite for unlocking the Find Grandpa FNSM app request. You’ll be aiding Tasha, a granddaughter deeply concerned about her missing grandfather, Earl. Tasha hands you a photograph of a zoo close by, marking the first step of your investigation. You need to follow the mini-map for navigation.
Make your way to the sea lion pool and discover a bunch of flowers. Use [L2] to closely examine them, and this action will guide you in the direction of your next clue.

Your next destination is the Botanical Gardens, where you’ll come across Grandpa Earl’s inhaler lying on a pedestal. Tasha’s concern deepens, but it does provide a valuable lead in the ongoing search for her grandfather.
Press L2 to scan the inhaler and once you do that, Spider-Man will realize that he can analyze the chemical composition of the inhaler and use it to trace Earl’s whereabouts.
To exit the inspection of the inhaler, press the O button and launch the Corruption minigame. Your goal in this challenge is to eliminate all the red nodes (corrupted atoms) while preserving every green node (vital atoms).
Upon successfully eliminating all the red nodes, you will notice a transparent vapor trail emerging in front of you. Follow this trail along its complete route, and it will ultimately guide you to a park bench located beside the lake, where you will discover Earl, the grandfather, sitting.
2. Rooftop Fireworks
Rewards: 600 XP, 2x Hero Tokens, 200 Tech Parts
Available After Completing “The Roll Like We Used To” Main Mission
The mission begins with a rather unconventional daytime fireworks show. Two brothers, Mike and Henry, set off fireworks in memory of their late brother, Lex. Little do they realize, these fireworks are faulty and result in a minor concussion for Mike. Your first job is to pick him up and take him to a hospital.
As you get closer to the injured man on the ground, press △ to lift him, and then head towards the next objective marker to deliver him to the hospital.

Mike shares the location where he purchased the fireworks and stresses the need to intervene and prevent the sellers from selling more defective firecrackers, as their actions may cause further harm to others. After leaving Mike at the hospital, Henry, Mike’s brother, urgently contacts you to alert you that the individuals selling the firecrackers are armed with dangerous weapons.
When you get there, you’ll see the criminals making fireworks in an extremely hazardous location right beside an open flame. The area is swarming with multiple criminals, and it’s your decision whether to confront them openly or remain above, discreetly eliminating each enemy one by one.
Amidst the battle, a box filled with faulty fireworks catches fire. Spider-Man must act swiftly to prevent the entire dock from being consumed in a vibrant explosion. To address this, press L1 + R1 to lift the box and throw it over the river, then keep on pressing R1 to safely trigger the explosion. Use the same tactic to manage any other boxes of firecrackers that ignite.
3. Photo Help
Rewards: 800 XP, 2x Hero Tokens, 200 Tech Parts
Available After Completing The “Science Buddy” Main Mission
This request comes from an aspiring Midtown photographer, Mina. She will provide more details about her ambition to pursue a photography career and explain that Peter Parker’s early work for Daily Bugle influenced her to pursue this career path. Mina shows Spider-Man a copy of the Daily Bugle that featured Peter’s first Spider-Man photo. She also expresses her desire to capture candid shots of Spider-Man, similar to how Peter did.
As Peter looks at the old newspaper, memories of the moment he handed the photo to J. Jonah Jameson come flooding back.

Trigger a flashback by walking toward the newspaper. You’ll find yourself in the shoes of a younger Peter on a bicycle, tasked with delivering the photograph to J. Jonah Jameson. Control your bike using the left analog stick, repeatedly press X to pedal, and utilize L2 to apply the brakes when needed.
When you get to the construction site, steer clear of the swinging crane and turn left as you reach the far end. After navigating through the alley, make a right, and you’ll eventually find yourself in a park where you’ll come across a mugging in progress.
You won’t have your full set of skills at your disposal at that time, but the assailants will not pose a major threat. You should be able to dodge the attacks and defeat them at ease. After dealing with the muggers, approach the civilian who will stand up and express gratitude for your help. Then, return to your bike to discover it’s been damaged, with your photos scattered on the ground.
Use △ to grab the photo and press and hold R2 to dash toward the Daily Bugle building. Cross the street on the opposite side, circle around to the outer section of the café, and enter it, where you’ll find JJJ at a table. Jonah acts gruff at first but eventually acknowledges that he needs a cover photo for the next day and hires Peter.
Returning to the present, you encourage Mina to pursue her own career and skillfully sidestep her request to meet Peter. Following that, she asks for an action shot of you, intending to showcase it at the Bugle. You position yourself on the ledge while Mina prepares her camera. When prompted, press X to jump off and strike a pose, creating a stunning photograph.
