Blow Them Up 3D is a game about, wait for it, blowing things up. You’ve got some syringes, and you’re chucking them at balloon people to fill them up and make them explode. It’s a simple enough FPS experience, but it’s not without its difficulties.
And since we hate difficulties, we thought it was a good idea to write this guide. We’ve played a good deal of Blow Them Up 3D, and come up with a bunch of strategies that we think are going to take your game to the next explosive level.
Whether you’ve already thrown a few syringes or you’re just lining up your first shot, you’re going to find something here to help you out. So let’s do this – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Blow Them Up 3D.
Aim for the head
You should always be aiming for the head – headshots can kill most of your enemies in a single shot, and if you miss you’ve got a good chance of hitting their chest, which will kill them too. Avoid shooting at the arms or legs, unless you absolutely have to – it’ll only slow your foes down.
Watch out for armor
In later levels, enemies are going to have armor – whether that’s helmets, chest plates or shields. You’ll need to hit it at least once to get rid of it before you can get a syringe stuck into their bubbly flesh. If a villain is wearing a helmet, try and take them down with a chest shot.
Take the hard road
When you’ve got the choice of which direction you should head in, always take the hard road. The challenges are never super difficult, and you’ll get extra rewards for completing them. Usually you’ll need to fight a character with TNT embedded in them – aim for the barrels and you can take them down quickly.
What are the coins for?
You can spend the coins on new skins for your syringe. They don’t change anything about the way the game plays, but they do add some different visual flourishes to the popping deaths you’re causing. It’s not really worth your time watching videos to increase your coin haul, though.
Should you use the special syringes?
While the special syringes are pretty cool, there’s not much point watching the videos to unlock them. You’ll have to do it at the start of every level, and the fact of the matter is you’re going to finish the challenge just fine without them. If you want a little bit of change, then go for it, but it’s by no means essential.
