Season of Blood arrives for Diablo 4 on October 17, bringing with it five new endgame bosses, a new vampire hunter questline, and more. Check out the full developer update video below. That dev update video is chunky indeed, with over two hours covering everything from the endgame bosses to the quality-of-life improvements coming to towns and vendors, mounts, Nightmare Dungeons, World Events, and more. If you don’t fancy investing two hours into the video, you can also check out their dev update recap post. “For a quick top-level preview, we are adding more Endgame activities, significantly increasing Experience gains to reduce the journey to Level 100 and increasing the ability to specifically target Uniques and Uber Uniques,” Blizzard says. “In the Season of Blood, Players will have to harness the power of the vampiric scourge to successfully defend themselves from its originators including the Blood Seekers that shadow your every move.”The recap post confirms that the five new endgame bosses will give you a better chance of getting Unique and Uber Unique items, with each boss having its own specific Uniques. Meanwhile, the World Boss fight will be available more often with a reduced spawn time of three and a half hours (instead of six hours). You will be able to earn more gold and experience from Helltide chests, Grim Favors, and Whispers. Blizzard also says the journey to get to level 100 has been made “about 40% faster” and the experience you get for killing monsters from level 50 onwards has been “significantly increased.” It’s a big dev update, covering Nightmare Dungeons, events, various improvements and adjustments, and more. All of it arrives with Season of Blood on October 17. Plus, there’s more in store, as Blizzard’s Eod Fergusson confirmed that Diablo IV will get annual expansions as well as quarterly season content. In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for any news on more Diablo 4 achievements.
