Developer Innersloth has provided an update on the console release of Among Us, saying that the game is still coming, but a little later than planned. Credit: InnerslothWhen Among Us was announced for consoles and Xbox Game Pass, all we had was a vague 2021 launch window. As it turns out, Innersloth had planned to release its popular social deception game in September, but because of a new update that’s set to introduce potentially “two big changes to the game,” the developer has decided to push back its release to “make sure they’re up to snuff and compatible across all platforms.” In a blog post, Innersloth says, “Our ideal release date was in September, but we ended up moving it because we didn’t want anyone who picked up the game on Xbox or PlayStation to have a suboptimal experience and roadblocks were thrown our way.” Unfortunately, the developer still hasn’t given a launch date for the console version of Among Us as it wants to be 100% sure before it commits to a date, but it’s still “on track to release this year.”Are you excited to play Among Us on console with Xbox Game Pass?
