Starfield bug lets you loot a store through a puddle for infinite credits

While the bug may not help you directly unlock any of the Starfield achievements, it will undoubtedly make your playthrough much easier, especially if you’re currently light on credits. Players have found that they can loot a store’s entire inventory from an unassuming muddy puddle, sell the stolen goods, and repeat the process for infinite credits. How to get infinite credits in StarfieldAs shown in the video above, if you travel to Akila City (found on the planet Akila in the Cheyenne system), find the puddle outside of Shepherd’s General Store, and line yourself up exactly in the right spot, you can access the vendor’s inventory, which includes everything the vendor is selling, as well as their credits. Interestingly, the game doesn’t see this as stealing, so you should be able to take everything without getting into trouble with the law. This bug can be exploited repeatedly; you just need to wait 24 hours of in-game time (some reports suggest 48 hours) until it can be repeated. If you’ve played other Bethesda RPGs, you’ll likely be familiar with what’s happening here. Bethesda usually stores vendors’ inventories in hidden chests under the map where they’re inaccessible to the player, but as you can see, the developer has left this one just inside of the player’s reach. We expect this will be patched soon, so if you want some easy credits, have at it. According to our data, Starfield has been the biggest release of the year, in terms of player count. Bethesda has also confirmed that official mod support will be coming to Starfield next year.
