Apex Legends’ Monsters Within event to add new Encore Arenas map and Shadow Royale

The Monsters Within event kicks off for Apex Legends next week, adding a new Arenas map and, later, Shadow Royale as a limited-time mode. Check out the trailer below:Monsters Within runs from October 12th to November 2nd. “To be a Legend, you have to have something special inside you,” the devs say. “Something bold. Something fierce. Something monstrous.”Monsters Within brings with it the new Encore Arenas map, which can be found on Boreas. “This map is open and offers strong environmental awareness,” the devs add. “Good teamwork and strategy are key if you want to succeed in this arena.” The map features two high-ground places: the VIP Lounge on one side and the Performance Stage on the other. In the middle, there’s no high ground to be found.Shadow Royale arrives on October 26th as “a darker version of the Apex Games, overseen by Revenant with a horrifying twist” — defeated Legends come back in Shadow-Form with infinite lives. There’s also a Monsters Within reward track, while Monsters Within packs will be available with event-limited items or skins from past Halloween events.Everything starts next week, when Monsters Within kicks off on October 12th.
