Composer Olivier Derivière (Streets of Rage 4, A Plague Tale: Innocence) has lent his talents to the game, composing the song “Run, Jump, Fight” for the title. In the fourth episode of Dying 2 Know, he shares the inspiration behind this track and shares the custom instrument that was built from scavenged metal that has brought the soundtrack of this title to life. Everything was recorded in Abbey Road Studios, and features the London Contemporary Orchestra.

According to Adrian “Pyza” Ciszewski, Creative Director of Dying Light 2 Stay Human:
“It supports narrative by generating nostalgia in certain moments, encourages bravery in battles by adding to the adrenaline with the right tunes, and energizes the player, pushing them to try harder as they parkour through The City. This close collaboration between us has led to the sound developing in line with our artistic vision of what we’re going to see on the screen and blending in with it perfectly. It was an ambitious project, yes, but we had a lot of fun, and seeing the end result has definitely made it worth the effort.”
The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 4, 2022.
