Developer 343 Industries has announced that Season 8 for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will begin next week on October 13th.Season 8 is called ‘Mythic’ and gives players the chance to earn some pretty wild armour sets, weapons skins, and vehicle skins for Halo 3 that are themed around warriors, history, and mythology. Halo 3 is also getting the new Icebox map, Halo 3: ODST Firefight is adding the Flood, and a bunch of other changes and improvements are coming to the collection. 343 previously revealed that with Halo Infinite launching on December 8th, Season 8 of Halo: MCC will be the final seasonal update for the game. The developer will be shifting away from its regular, large seasonal updates in favour of smaller updates that will still include new content and features. The developers say these will roll out to players “when they’re ready based on development status and studio roadmap alignment.”Season 8 begins in Halo: The Master Chief Collection on October 13th.
