With Starfield launching into early access, we finally picked up those sweet Starfield achievements, and it appears that quite a lot of you have already started the sci-fi RPG, including an impressive amount of players over on Steam. Starfield is off to an impressive start on SteamAccording to Steam tracking site SteamDB, Starfield hit a peak of 234,502 players just two hours after launch. This number isn’t quite as high as Bethesda’s last two RPGs (Skyrim saw 287,411 concurrent players at launch, while Fallout 4 peaked at 472,962 players), but considering Steam players need to currently stump up $100 for the Premium Edition or even more for the Constellation Edition to get early access, this is mighty impressive. Starfield is also seeing a lot of popularity on Twitch, which, again, according to Steam DB, peaked at a huge 532,234 concurrent Twitch viewers. As for Xbox players, we should have a little more insight into that in our Top 40 Xbox Gameplay Chart on Monday ahead of Starfield’s full release on September 6. We expect Starfield will debut in a high position despite only being available in early access.
