Nexus Nine Appoints Mick Davidson as Operations Director and CEO – sUAS News

Independent C-UAS Test House puts UAS Specialist at the helm.
Nexus Nine are pleased to announce that Mick Davidson has been appointed newoperations Director and CEO of the company. An experienced UAS Operator and TeamLeader, Mick has succeeded Lee Mansell and assumes his responsibilities withimmediate effect following a successful Handover. Lee leaves Nexus Nine after anoutstanding term, navigating the company through the challenges of the COVID era and he notes that, upon his departure, the natural forward direction of the company was more suited to someone with a more UAS operations focused background.
Mick has been working with UA systems for over 20 years. An engineer that developed a love for all things uncrewed. Having served in the Royal Navy, British Army and developed many other skills since finally leaving the Forces in 2013, Mick brings an outstanding and varied skillset to the leadership team.

During previous work Mick has achieved 4000+hrs on various system types/class andcovered roles from Image Analyst, Remote Pilot, Training, Safety & Flight OperationsManager, having also worked with Counter UAS across the Caribbean and UnitedStates and assisting in the stand up of a UAS Flight Test Instructor course in Canadawith the International Test Pilot School (ITPS).
Mick also served as a UAS Inspector with the UK CAA before working with Wingcopter GmbH and assisting alignment with worldwide regulations.
