The Clemson Tigers and Boston College Eagles will play in Death Valley on Saturday.
The Clemson Tigers and Boston College Eagles will meet up in Memorial Stadium in an ACC Atlantic battle on Saturday. No. 25 Clemson will have the chance to get back on track when Boston College travels to Death Valley in Clemson, S.C.
The Tigers are entering Week 5 with a 2-2 record and will likely miss the College Football Playoffs after losing to N.C. State last week, 27-21, in a double-overtime stunner. Clemson narrowly escaped Georgia Tech in Week 3 before falling to the Wolfpack in Week 4. The Tigers will have the opportunity to rebound against a team in their division, but it won’t be easy because Boston College is undefeated.
It’s a far shot to say that there’s even the slightest chance that Clemson will win its seventh-straight ACC Championship this year. Former QB Trevor Lawrence was the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and current QB D.J. Uiagalelei hasn’t been able to even come close to filling his shoes.
Boston College is entering the fifth week of the season with a perfect 4-0 record. The Eagles are reeling off of a 41-34 overtime win against Missouri in Week 4. The Tigers’ weaknesses have been blatantly exposed and Boston College will have the chance to rub more salt in Clemson’s wound by knocking them off at home. The Eagles will have a solid shot at being the second team in the ACC Atlantic division to beat the Tigers in back-to-back weeks.
Clemson vs. Boston College injury report Week 5
The Clemson Tigers will be without defensive tackle Bryan Bresee for the rest of the season after he tore his ACL during the second half of last week’s game against the Wolfpack. Running back Will Shipley suffered a leg injury in the second half as well but is expected to be back in three to four weeks.
James Skalski injury update
Clemson linebacker James Skalski went out of the game with a shoulder injury during the first quarter of Week 4’s game against N.C State, but coach Dabo Swinney said that he is “fine” and will likely return against Boston College.
