The Journey’s End update for Terraria has finally arrived on console over a year after it dropped on PC, bringing with it a ton of new content and fixes as well as three new achievements. While the full patch notes are way too lengthy to get into here, the main additions are Journey mode — a brand new way to play that offers even greater control over all aspects of the game and the world — and a new top-end Master difficulty, along with new bosses, mini-bosses, and smaller foes to seek out and slay, a Bestiary to track enemies, new weather conditions, improvements to the town system, and… the ability to play golf. Sure, why not?As for the new achievements, one is for simply dying to an appropriately-named Dead Man’s Chest (a booby-trapped gold chest added in this update), one for killing a challenging new bullet hell-inspired boss, and one for forging the newly-added ultimate weapon Zenith, which looks to be the most involved crafting project in the game. Here they all are:Name Description GamerscoreFae Flayer Defeat the Empress of Light, responsible for all those flashy lights and glitter. 40Infinity +1 Sword Obtain the Zenith, the culmination of a journey forged into the ultimate sword. 50Dead Men Tell No Tales You were so preoccupied with whether you could, that you didn’t stop to think if you should. 20Terraria is playable via Xbox Game Pass, and the Journey’s End update is available now.
