Amazon’s New World launched yesterday but today, September 29th, the developers announced that the servers will be going offline for maintenance. If you’re eagerly awaiting to login, you probably want to know How Long Is The New World Maintenance? The forums can be a little confusing so let us do the leg work for you.
Servers were up for most of launch day, bar a brief bit of downtime. A lot of players struggled to log in to the game due to huge queues. Queues for Valhalla were reportedly taking up to three hours, but that’s what you get for joining a server that was easily going to be one of the most popular. There are also a few major bugs, one of which is a “god mode” bug that makes characters immune to nearly all forms of damage – quite the problem in a game so heavily centered around PvP content.
How Long Is New World Maintenance
While we’ll likely need to wait a few more days for any fixes to the in-game issues, the team seems to be directing efforts at ensuring more players are able to get into the game. In the forum post informing players of the maintenance they stated:
Greetings Adventurers, We are working on releasing new worlds for US-East so we are taking some downtime to prepare for this at 1:00am PT/4:00am ET. This downtime is preparation for the coming days to improve your experience by getting more worlds out. The expected downtime is: approximately 90 minutes. Once downtime has been completed, we will update this post. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Luxendra, Community Manager
So it looks like the servers will be down for approximately 90 minutes and new servers will be added. You can check the full post here.
