Microsoft has begun testing Xbox Cloud Gaming for consoles, allowing some Xbox Insiders to play Game Pass games on their consoles without having to download or install them first. The feature is now available for a few lucky Insiders who are in the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Xbox Insider rings, but Microsoft does say it will be expanding to other rings soon. If the Xbox gods have chosen you to receive the update, you’ll find a full list of supported games on your console by going to My Games & Apps>Full Library>Xbox Game Pass and set the filter to “Cloud gaming.” All games that support streaming will feature a small cloud icon next to their box and will support 1080p at 60fps on consoles, which is in line with the service on PCs and mobile devices. Xbox engineering lead Eden Marie noted that Xbox Series X|S exclusive games are not supported on Xbox One consoles with Xbox Cloud Gaming, but the team is working on it. There are also a couple of known issues, such as in-game purchases not being supported when playing a title with Xbox Cloud Gaming, but you can check those out in the latest Xbox Insider post over on Xbox Wire. As previously announced, Xbox Cloud Gaming is expected to roll out to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on both Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One this holiday.Have you checked out Xbox Cloud Gaming on your Xbox console yet? If you have, let us know your thoughts about the feature in the comments!
