The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs received a couple great injury updates prior to their game against No. 8 Arkansas.
According to Kirby Smart, the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs are getting close to being at full strength as they get set to face off against an upstart Arkansas team. Georgia’s head coach said a few talented Bulldogs should be able to contribute when UGA takes on the No. 8 Razorbacks.
At the moment, Georgia is expecting to get both Tykee Smith and Darnell Washington back from injury that’s kept them out all season. The Bulldogs are also hopeful that Dominick Blaylock will be able to suit up against the Razorbacks.
Smith has shown he is capable of providing a significant impact for the Bulldogs. While he was with the West Virginia Mountaineers, Smith totaled 111 tackles and picked off four passes over two seasons.
Washington hasn’t had much playing time so far, but he’s a possible matchup nightmare for anyone trying to cover him. At 6-7 and 265 pounds, he’s larger than any defensive back who would be assigned to him.

This is huge for Georgia.
With the momentum that Arkansas has right now, the Razorbacks are not a team anyone should be taken lightly. It doesn’t matter how talented your team is, Sam Pittman and Arkansas have already demonstrated they are up for taking you on.
While the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies are far from being as good as this Georgia team, they both found out the hard way how much potential the Razorbacks have. So the Bulldogs should be thrilled to get Smith and Washington back. Both can be key contributors and cause matchup issues against Arkansas.
Heading into this game, UGA appears to be the better team here, but it never hurts to be close to or at full strength before facing a team that has experience upending opponents.
The Bulldogs will welcome the Razorbacks as well as College GameDay to Athens this week. The game between Georgia and Arkansas is slated to begin at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.
