Chris Daukaus defeated Shamil Abdurakhimov via TKO, Round 2 – 1:22 at UFC 266 on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
In actuality, Daukaus recorded two knockouts at UFC 266. The first came in the final seconds of the opening round, but Abdurakhimov would go on to survive. Then, the Philadelphia heavyweight finished the job in the second round with another flush left hook followed by ground and pound.
Daukaus entered UFC 266 as the No. 9 ranked heavyweight. Finishing the No. 6 ranked fighter in the division will certainly move Daukaus to the door of the top five.
After his performance, he called out a number of names including Stipe Moicic, Alexander Volkov, as well as the loser of Curtis Blaydes and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
