The game was originally conceived as a spin-off to Black Flag, but later grew into a major project of its own, and was revealed for the first time at E3 2017 during Ubisoft’s press conference. The game is the first project to be led by Ubisoft Singapore. Unfortunately, Skull & Bones has been delayed numerous times over the past six years or so, and was most recently due to launch in March 2023 following a delay from November last year.However, Ubisoft announced earlier this year that Skull & Bones had been pushed back once again, and will now launch at some point during the 2023 – 2024 financial year.
