Blizzard Entertainment has lost more of its senior employees, with chief legal officer Claire Hart announcing her resignation from the company and Blizzard confirming that Overwatch executive producer Chacko Sonny will also depart the developer later this week. Spotted by Kotaku, Claire Hart announced her departure from Blizzard in a post over on LinkedIn, revealing that after spending over three years at the company, Friday, September 17th was her last day. Overwatch executive producer Chacko Sonny is also leaving Blizzard after five years at the company, according to a report from Bloomberg, which was later confirmed by Blizzard in a statement given to Polygon. Hart’s resignation will likely come as a blow to Blizzard as its parent company Activision Blizzard is currently embroiled in a lawsuit filed by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges widespread discrimination and sexual harassment at the company. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had opened its own investigation into Activision Blizzard over the company’s response to alleged employee misconduct and harassment. The SEC is investigating whether the publisher should have informed shareholders sooner about California’s lawsuit. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is also now involved and is investigating allegations of harassment at the publisher with the aim of securing compensation for victims. In a statement, Activision Blizzard said it has “actively engaged in continued discussions with the EEOC and has cooperated with the EEOC’s investigation concerning certain employment practices.” Activision Blizzard also says it is complying with an SEC subpoena issued to the company “and several current and former employees and executives regarding disclosures on employment matters and related issues.”Last month saw several high-profile departures from Blizzard, including Blizzard’s president J. Allen Brack and several senior developers.
