Hotfix v18.00 introduced a new quest in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 8 tasks players with getting a storm forecast from a character. The wording could be confusing to some, considering the challenge does not outright state what you have to accomplish. Thankfully, we have the resources to discover what you must do to complete the Season 8 quest.
Today, we’ll examine where you can get a storm forecast on the island to further your quest to reach the maximum Battle Pass level.
Where to Get Storm Forecast
Three non-player characters (NPCs) sell storm circle intel on the Season 8 map. Storm Racer and Torin — located respectively at Boney Burbs and Cap’n Carp Delivery Truck — roam the island’s central area and are probably the most common characters you’ll come across. The half-man half-monkey himself, J.B. Chimpmanski, also sells the information. You can find him at the Weather Station located southeast.
All you have to do is initiate a dialogue with one of the three characters. The Storm Forecast costs 170 gold, but that’s a small price to pay for completing a part of Wrath’s Escaped Tenant Questline. Completing this task nets you anywhere from 12K to 20K XP, depending on what order you complete Wrath’s quest. It’s one of the more straightforward challenges, so be sure to complete it when you have the opportunity.
