Diablo 4’s general manager has said that the team is “prepared” for the launch of the highly anticipated RPG on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox next week.Following a number of beta tests and the huge Server Slam earlier this month, Diablo IV’s general manager Rod Fergusson is confident that Blizzard has “done the work we could do to make launch day as smooth as possible.” Diablo IV launches on Tuesday, June 6 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. However, players who’ve preordered the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of the game can begin slaying demons in Sanctuary as early as this Friday, June 2.Blizzard shares optimism for a smooth Diablo 4 launchSpeaking with GamesRadar+ about the numerous server tests Blizzard has held in recent months, Diablo IV general manager Rod Fergusson said: “We learned a lot from each of them. We’re feeling better, like we feel good about that, like all the stuff that we’ve learned.” While the Server Slam saw millions of players descend into Sanctuary’s hellish depths, Fergusson also said the developers can almost “never” replicate playtest performance during a full launch of a game. “We’ve done the work, and we’ve done a lot of testing, and so we’re prepared,” Fergusson said. “But you know, never say never.
