In what will be the first of two guaranteed IEM Dallas 2023 matches for both sides, ENCE and Astralis will engage in a showdown to bag semifinal qualification. ENCE put behind their poor run of form to start the IEM Dallas on a high note, while Astralis extended their winning run to six matches to reach this stage. ENCE made it two wins in a row against FaZe as they cruised to a 2-0 win against the American powerhouse, only weeks after their Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage victory against the same opposition. The Finnish side raced to a 16-7 win on Anubis, thanks to an incredible Alvaro “⁠SunPayus⁠” Garcia display. ENCE were on track of picking up another simple win on Overpass. FaZe quickly cut down the deficit, but Guy “NertZ” Iluz closed out the map with two quick rounds.
