Zombie Sequel Dead Island 2 Has Sold 2 Million Copies

Embracer Group has announced during its latest interim financial report that Dead Island 2 has sold over two million copies since its launch on April 21, 2023.Developed by Dambuster Studios, Dead Island 2 has become Deep Silver and PLAION’S biggest ever launch in terms of units and revenue. Speaking on the game’s success, Lars Wingefors, co-founder and CEO of Embracer Group, commented:I am happy to state that the game has now reached a sell-out of well over two million units. The game is noted for having a tumultuous development cycle, having originally been announced back in 2014 with Yager at the helm.
