Microsoft has rolled out a reiterated version of the experimental Xbox Home experience to Xbox Insiders, offering a simplified dashboard that removes the previous build’s cluttered feel.Following its removal last month, the new Xbox Home experience has been refreshed to incorporate some of the feedback Microsoft received during the last test, including a simplified style that gives your background more real estate. The latest version of the dashboard is now available for Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha Xbox Insiders.Refreshed Xbox Home experienceAs announced on Xbox Wire, the new dashboard is now available to Xbox Insiders, and it looks like Microsoft listened to player feedback regarding the last experimental build. “We designed hundreds of options, then refined them with prototypes, and finally user-tested them in our Research labs until we found one we hope you’ll love,” senior product manager lead Ivy Krislov says. “It balances the experience, accessibility, function, and the needs of our community. We are excited to hear what you think!”This new version simplifies the dashboard layout by reducing the tile sizes and moving them to the bottom of the screen, which gives the background more space to be on show. You might also notice that there’s a navigation menu at the top of the screen as well now, offering quick access to your library, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, search, and settings. Additionally, a responsive game art feature has also been included, which updates the dashboard’s background with a title’s game art when you hover over its tile. What do you think of the Xbox Home experience’s new look?
