F1 2021’s free content update adds Portimao as the first of three free post-launch circuits, as well as the Aston Martin safety car, performance updates, and more.”The Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, otherwise known as Portimao, sits just half an hour outside the city of its namesake,” the devs add. “It’s a track well-known for its elevation changes, boasting 15 truly glorious corners to race around.” Portimao will be available in Time Trial, Grand Prix, Real-Season Start, and online.””Alongside the very recognisable (but now red) Mercedes AMG, the green Aston Martin Vantage will be taking on Safety Car duties at certain races,” the devs explain. You can spot the Aston Martin Vantage in Bahrain, Monaco, Canada, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Singapore, Russia, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi. Lastly, the devs add that they’ll be wiping the F1 Time Trial leaderboards as the performance update has made the cars “much more reflective of what is happening on track.”The trailer above also gives a glimpse of the content still to arrive for F1 2021: the Imola circuit arrives in October, with the Jeddah circuit following in November. Will you be racing round the Portimao circuit today? Let us know in the comments!
