It’s been pretty quiet on the Forza Motorsport front ever since the Xbox Developer Direct in January. Now, developer Turn 10 Studios has provided a brief update on the game, which is set to launch “later this year.”Following that deep dive we had into Forza Motorsport with January’s Xbox Developer Direct, Turn 10 hasn’t said much about the upcoming racing sim. However, Turn 10 has now lifted the bonnet ever so slightly on what stage of development Forza Motorsport is currently in.Turn 10 currently polishing Forza Motorsport for releaseAs per a new blog post, Turn 10 says it is now “focused on polishing” Forza Motorsport as it prepares for launch “later this year.” This would suggest that the content of the game is now mostly complete, and Turn 10 is spending its time getting the game looking and performing to a high standard, especially since the developer has promised that Forza Motorsport will offer a “generational leap” in fidelity and realism. Forza Motorsport was initially down to launch in spring 2023, but as per the latest Developer Direct, ‘spring’ was no longer mentioned. According to Turn 10, Forza Motorsport will offer over 500 real-world cars at launch, and you can expect 20 environments that will feature multiple track layouts.
