It’s the start of another weekend in Destiny 2, and like clockwork, Xur is back to offer a selection of Exotic and Legendary gear. As usual, you can get your hands on legacy Exotics, rare armor, and weapons that might have desirable rolls for PvE or PvP activities. Here’s where you can find Xur this weekend and what the Agent of the Nine has for sale.
This week you can find Xur on Nessus, in The Watcher’s Grave. For his weapon, Xur is offering The Wardcliff Coil. Hunters can pick up The Bombardiers boots; Titans can grab An Insurmountable Skullfort helmet; and for Warlocks, Xur has Ophidian Aspect gauntlets.
Xur Location
Head to Nessus and use the Watcher’s Grave transmat zone to find Xur this week. When you arrive, hop on your sparrow and head north toward the exit of the area. Look for a big tree with pink moss on the right side of the area. Climb up onto its big, flat branch, where you can reach Xur.

Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 strikes or win Crucible/Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but next season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers will also be increasing, as you’ll be able to hold up to five of them at a time.
Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
Exotic Weapons
The Wardcliff Coil
The pray-and-spray of rocket launchers in Destiny 2, The Wardcliff Coil is simple to use and is capable of inflicting some devastating damage. It’s no Gjallarhorn, but it comes with a number of great perks in addition to its Mad Scientist intrinsic perk. Firing a volley of rockets, this power weapon also comes equipped with Extended Mag, Mechanized Autoloader, and Composite Stock to help vaporize anything that happens to be in the vicinity of where you’re aiming.
- Mad Scientist
- Extended Mag
- Mechanized Autoloader
- Composite Stock
Hawkmoon
Hawkmoon has the usual perks this week–Alloy Magazine, Heavy Grip, and Fluted Barrel–but the fresh perk on this roll is Killing Wind. Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration, and when you’re looking to take out red-bar enemies so that you can power up the Paracausal Shot intrinsic perk, that ability works nicely for that strategy.
- Fluted Barrel
- Alloy Magazine
- Killing Wind
- Heavy Grip
Dead Man’s Tale
Dead Man’s Tale comes loaded with Full Bore, Accurized Rounds, Snapshot Sights, and Hand-Laid Stock this week, a pretty nice selection of perks with this roll. Accurized Rounds and Full Bore give you increased range, Snapshot Sights helps you aim quicker, and Hand-Laid Stock does a decent job at recoil control. A pretty above-average build for once, for both PvE and PvP.
- Full Bore
- Accurized Rounds
- Snapshot Sights
- Hand-Laid Stock

Exotic Armor
The Bombardiers
For the Hunter who likes to dodge out of harm’s way, The Bombardiers are pretty great boots to equip as they leave a little something extra and explosive for anyone chasing you. If you’re running an Arc build, you’ll blind targets, Solar will apply scorch stacks, Void leaves a suppression effect in your wake, Stasis slows enemies, and Strand severs targets. This roll of the Exotic works very nicely with those agile tactics, as it has high mobility, recovery, and discipline stats. Although you will need to pump up your resilience in your other armor pieces.
- Mobility: 17
- Resilience: 2
- Recovery: 13
- Discipline: 15
- Intellect: 10
- Strength: 7
- Total: 64
An Insurmountable Skullfort
Great for Titans looking to run an Arc build, An Insurmountable Skullfort will trigger health regeneration and restore melee energy when you eliminate enemies with your melee attack. Build your Titan right, and you should be able to turn your Guardian into a hard-hitting machine that’s constantly healing. This Exotic does have poor resilience and discipline stats, in favor of mobility, and it has high strength that works well for a punch-heavy build.
- Mobility: 17
- Resilience: 7
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 2
- Intellect: 7
- Strength: 22
- Total: 65
Ophidian Aspect
These Exotic gauntlets are tailor-made for PvP action, as once they’re equipped to your Warlock, you’ll gain incredibly quick weapon ready and reload speed, extended melee range, and a small boost to your airborne effectiveness stat. That makes these great for the Crucible and Trials of Osiris, especially with this roll having high resilience and strength. Mobility is the weakest stat here, but average recovery, discipline, and intellect numbers make up for the shortcoming.
- Mobility: 3
- Resilience: 16
- Recovery: 11
- Discipline: 6
- Intellect: 7
- Strength: 20
- Total: 63
