Frontier has chosen the Mosasaurus as the first marine reptile to be shown off in its latest species field guide for Jurassic World Evolution 2. Marine reptiles, and the Mosasaurus in particular, have been a long-requested feature for Jurassic World Evolution, so it’s good to get a glimpse of what they’ll look like in action. The species field guide above shows off an underwater viewing area, as well as a look at the Mosasaurus feeding. Over on the Jurassic World Evolution 2 site Frontier adds that the Mosasaurus isn’t an especially social creature, so its comfort levels aren’t likely to dip because of population numbers. “Mosasaurus aren’t generally very social and much prefer their own company, so you won’t have to worry about making sure there’s more than one of them per habitat — just keep in mind that they’ll also need plenty of space to swim around in, so it’s worth considering this when thinking about the design of your lagoons,” Frontier says, adding, “They were thought to have hunted as close to the surface of the water as possible, so they would essentially eat whatever they could sink their teeth into. Mosasaurs in your parks will be able to enjoy a piscivorous diet. They can be aggressive, though, so do keep that in mind when thinking about whether or not they will share a Lagoon.”Jurassic World Evolution 2 launches on November 9th, so we’ve still got a few months of species field guides before we can get our hands on the game.
