Update: Ubisoft has now confirmed that the patch will be 26.23 GB for Xbox One and 34.05 GB for Xbox Series X|S, and that it will arrive tomorrow, September 7th, at 8am ET/5am PT/2pm CEST/10pm AEST. The three new River Raids maps, meanwhile, are Erriff, Berbha, Rhine, and we’ll be tasked with facing two “River Champions and the new Champions of the Faith.” The three new abilities are the Percussion Arrow, which creates a staggering shockwave when it hits an enemy shield, Precision Axe Throw, which performs a “devastating axe throw,” and Spinning Harpoon, which is apparently just what it sounds like — “Eivor performs a spinning attack that can be combined with other harpoon-based abilities. Enemies caught in the spin are knocked back.” You can check the patch notes in full over on the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla site.Original story: Title Update 1.3.1 is set to arrive for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla tomorrow, and Ubisoft has teased some of the content coming with it, including Nightmare combat difficulty. According to the updated roadmap shown above, Title Update 1.3.1 arrives tomorrow, September 7th, along with the second River Raids map pack, while another title update and the Discovery Tour are set to arrive later this year. Over on Twitter, Ubisoft hinted at some of the content included with the next title update: three new River Raids maps, a Nightmare combat difficulty, three new abilities, and new weapons and gear, including a short sword.”We can’t give everything away just yet,” Ubisoft added, so hopefully we can soon expect a more detailed explanation of what’s to come. In sharing the updated roadmap, meanwhile, Ubisoft added that there’s “more on the way beyond” — and the devs have previously said that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will “benefit from a stronger and longer post-launch programme” than Odyssey — so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for any update on this.Which part of tomorrow’s update are you most looking forward to? Or are you waiting for something further along the roadmap? Let us know in the comments!
