A new report coming from a fairly reputable source, when it comes to Apple-related stuff, claims that there might be some production issues with the new Apple Watch Series 7 that could cause a delay in the schedule.
The reason behind this is probably the new, larger display. When production issues arise, there are a couple of possible outcomes – the product’s announcement is delayed, the launch date is pushed back or it’s made available in limited quantities. Mark Gurman believes it would be the second one.
As per tradition, the new Apple Watch Series 7 will get its fair share of the spotlight during the iPhone 13 announcement but the first units of the watch will start shipping later on, perhaps from October. There’s also the option of delaying just the affected Apple Watch variants and make the rest available on schedule.
A delayed announcement is highly unlikely, though, and Gurman says the first media invitations should start flying in as soon as this week.
