Undefeated Azamat Murzakanov now has his second chance with the UFC after scoring a first-round knockout of Matheus Scheffel on the season five premiere of Dana White’s Contender Series.
Murzakanov put the fight away with a three-punch combination, ending with a right hand on the jaw that dropped Scheffel out cold.

Murzakanov had been booked to fight in the UFC in 2017 but was pulled from the fight and given. a two-year suspension by USADA.
Prior to tonight, Murzakanov last fought in November 2019, winning a four-man, one-night tournament in Brave CF.
