These are all of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics and where you can get each of them in-game.
Fortnite Chapter 4 has some of the most OP weapons just sitting around in the general loot pool, but what about the Mythics and Exotics? The Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythic and exotic weapons are some of the most fun items in the game, but they’re a bit harder to get than just general loot. You can’t just open chests and hope for the best; there are specific Fortnite Mythic locations you’ve got to hit if you want to get them.
The Mythics are the more exciting weapons in the game. In most cases, these are one-of-a-kind items that are only obtainable from a single place. Getting them gives you a unique hook in every game. You’ll be the only player with that item. Although, the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics has one which is more widely available. All of them give you a much better loadout than players are going to get through looting, without RNG on chest content, either.
The Exotics are a bit more common. These aren’t as OP but they still have to be claimed from only one place. This is a pain if you want them for a specific game plan. If you don’t want to bank on luck, it’s best to know where they all are and how to get them. This is where you can find all of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics, and how to get them.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics – All Locations
Mythic Ex-Caliber
The Mythic Ex-Caliber rifle has been in the game since the launch of Chapter 4. It’s a Mythic version of the Ex-Caliber gun, which only really comes in higher rarities anyway. This Mythic does have a few advantages over the other version of the gun, though. If you’ve been running the Ex-Caliber it might be worth it to start trying to take down the Ageless and pick this one up.
The Mythic is coming from defeating the only boss on the map at launch, the Ageless. He’s a boss that occupies the Citadel. You can find him in the great Hall or wandering around close to that building. He does tend to move quite a bit, eventually. If you’re in the late game, he may have even made his way over to the courtyards. Since the character has a Shockwave Hammer, he can get pretty displaced when he’s chasing players in a fight.
The Mythic Ex-Caliber is a fun addition. At first, it wasn’t too big of a reward for taking on a boss. However, he now drops another item. The next of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics.
Mythic Shockwave Hammer
The Shockwave Hammer is the stand-out item of the most recent season of Fortnite. It’s almost a must-carry. How can you improve on it? The Mythic Shockwave Hammer is a notch above. It was added in with the recent Winterfest patch.
As well as being a bit faster on the recharge, you’re getting an extra use of the rotation part of the item. This is huge. You will rarely ever have to wait for recharges if you’re spacing out the uses of rotation here. This item can make a huge difference. The drawback is the normal Hammer is still pretty good. The gap between this and the Mythic isn’t so big, but it’s still worth collecting if you’re in the area.
The Mythic Shockwave Hammer is also dropped by the Ageless. You can find him in the Citadel. As mentioned, though, he does tend to wonder. You might also have a bit of competition if you’re landing here, the Mythic Shockwave gives players much more incentive to head to this Fortnite drop spot.
Deku’s Smash
Deku’s Smash is the second of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics that got added to the game, but it hasn’t stayed. This was originally added to tie into the My Hero Academia X Fortnite crossover. It was probably due to run for a few weeks. However, it got removed early. Players had the Deku Smash Mythic for a short while before it was removed due to a bug.
The removal came right before Epic left for their Christmas break, which means no updates for a few weeks. It isn’t known how long it was due to run for in the first place. However, we’ll likely get it reintroduced for a little while before it leaves again. This delay may have to lengthen the My Hero Academia content further into the Season than planned.
In terms of what it does, Deku’s Smash is an attack out of the My Hero Academia anime. It’s Deku and All Might’s Signature Move. In-game, Deku builds up in the air, before pushing out a huge flow of power against where the reticule is aimed. This was basically a one-hit kill and destroys a load of surroundings too. Although, it also only has three charges per player for a game.
Deku’s Smash might come back. If it does, players can find it in the special All Might supply drops that come from the sky. Although you can also purchase it at the My Hero Academia vending machines, which are dotted around the islands’ POIs It’s definitely easier to get out of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Exotic Weapons
While these Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics are the big weapons that players gravitate towards, they’re not the only rare items on the map at the moment. There’s still a whole host of unique exotic items. Some of these are crazy compared to what’s in the base loot pool, like having a grappler that’s easy to use sitting around if you land in the right spot.
Exotic weapons are a bit different to Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and standard loot. There are different ways to get them. Often, that’s from heading to an NPC that carries stock of your weapon. In other cases, though, you can pick them up in lockboxes and elsewhere. These aren’t as guaranteed as the Mythics as NPCs have varying spawn rates and lockboxes are pure RNG. It’s worth being aware of them, though, so you can chase them down if you want them. Along with the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics locations, we’ll cover how you can unlock each of these.
These are all of the Exotic weapon locations in Chapter 4
Unstable Bow
The Unstable bow is one of the weirder additions to the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythis and Exotics. It isn’t exactly high up on the Fortnite Chapter 4 Weapons tier list. This is a bow. Only its effects don’t work the same every time. With each arrow that you fire, you get a different effect. Sometimes, it’s a flame bow, then an explosive, then stink, then shockwave. You never quite know what you’re going to get.
The bow doesn’t include the other Exotic bow in the season, you don’t get a grappler. However, it can still be a lot of fun to play with the unpredictability. There’s a specific NPC you can get this from, Wild Card. Obviously, his name suits the random luck tone of the weapon.
You can find Wild Card in Breakwater Bay, or the Castle that’s just to the west of the Citadel. He’ll be in either of these locations. You can’t bank on seeing him every time, but it’s worth checking if you’re looking for the unstable bow.
It’ll cost 500 gold each time, which is a pretty high price for such an unreliable weapon.
Chug Cannon
The Chug Cannon is a more unique case, even in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics. This one is available through the normal exotic way of buying it, but also through augments.
The Chug Cannon can be picked up from the Sunflower NPC, he’s in Frenzy Fields each game. Unlike the others, he doesn’t move around. However, he isn’t guaranteed to spawn so there’s still some unreliably. The other way is to use the Fortnite Augments. One of these delivers a Chug Cannon. There’s another way to get one, too though, Llamas also drop one in some modes. If you manage to track one of them down and kill it you’re getting this exotic. This is probably the most common of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics. While it’s accessible in a lot of different places, none of them are 100%.
The Chug Cannon is a weapon that fires slurp juice, which restores the shield. It comes with unlimited charges, but it only has five uses before a cooldown wipes it out for a little. It’s basically unlimited fast healing, though. It’s a very useful tool for bigger team games, along with being helpful for Solos if you’re playing particularly aggressively. Between all the different ways to get this one of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics, you should be able to track one down if you’re looking for it.
Grappler Bow
The Grappler Bow is a really fun item that a lot of players might not even realize is in the game at the moment. It’s a bow like the others, but with a grappler. When you fire a bow, it can deal damage to players just like a normal one. However, fire at a surface or a player and you’ll get a grappler effect that’ll pull you in. Grapplers are great, but they’re rarely in the loot pool. This is a rare chance to grab one, but you have to put some work in.
You can get the Grappler Bow from the Princess Felicity Fist NPC. She’s selling it for 500 gold which is a decent deal. This is located at Western Watch, which you can find west of the Citadel. This is close enough to the Citadel itself, so watch out for the Ageless unless you want to fight for the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics too.
Shadow Tracker
The Shadow Tracker is an exotic that’s been in the game for quite a while, showing up at different NPCs. There have been great examples of it being used to great effect. It’s a pistol, but one with a unique mechanic. Once you hit a player with the shadow tracker, they’ll be tracked for a little while. This helps you mark players without using the scans or bloodhound in the Augments.
If you’ve got sharper aim, the pistols in the current Season are pretty impressive. You’re able to get a lot of enemies tagged here if you can hit properly. On top of tagging enemies, it’s a silenced gun. That’s great for getting around the loud gunfire that gives positioning away with everyone using on-screen audio now.
You can find this one of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics from Evie. She’s in Shore Shack. You can get the gun for 400 gold bars.
The Dub
The Dub is the last of this batch of Fortnite Chapter 4 Exotics. This is a very fun gun and it has reasons to be carried beyond its novelty, being one of the stronger shotguns around right now. This was part of the game periodically in Chapter 2, but it’s settled into this new role as a much rarer item.
The main thing with the Dub is the throwback effect after you fire it. It’s going to make rotation easier (though louder) and have a unique gameplay mechanic that can be a lot of fun. If you’re looking to grab the Dub, there are a couple of options.
You can pick it up from Surr Burger. He’s sat in Anvil Square and charges only 600 bars for the weapon. You can also find the Dub in the loot pool for various lockboxes. You won’t know what’s in the boxes until you get close to them. However, if you find one you can redeem a key for it fairly easily.
Those are all of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Mythics and Exotics in the game right now. There’s still a while left on the season though. We can expect some changes to the pool as things go along. We might get more Mythics or the return of one of the removed ones. We might even see some removed Exotics make a reappearance like the boom sniper. Players will have to keep an eye on the Fortnite patch notes to see if anything develops.
