Everything old is new again with today’s announcement of Koei Tecmo’s Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX.
This collection combines Monster Rancher 1 (1997) and Monster Rancher 2 (1999) together in one package. Both titles will have players raising their own monsters and training them to compete against one another in combat and tournaments. Hundreds of different monster types have been included, each with their own abilities and skills.
Additional save slots, Freeze slots, and Monster Hall of Fame slots, along with a memo feature to use while raising monsters. This is on top of rankings for random battles and a high-speed mode.
In the original releases, players were able to use physical CDs to generate monsters in the game. This feature has been reworked for Monster Rancher 1 & 2, allowing them to search a database to find their desired CD and generate a monster from its data.
