Alex Bregman has been spotted rocking a new look and Houston Astros fans won’t be able to recognize him.

This sure is one way to announce your return from the Injured List. For Houston Astros stud infielder Alex Bregman, his long battle back from a left quad strain is now complete, as he’s been activated off the Injured List and he’ll be back in the starting lineup Wednesday against the Royals.

Bregman took to Twitter to let fans know he’s back, and he did so in the best way possible. Bregman shared a photo that folks couldn’t believe was him. He looks completely unrecognizable. Don’t believe us? Take a look for yourself.

Bregman has been out of action since June 16. Now, he’s looking like Tom Hanks in the movie ‘Cast Away.’ The third baseman is clearly embracing his new look, as his caption in the tweet above tells you he knows he looks quite different.

The veteran has been out of action since June 16 with his quad injury, missing more than two months of play. Fortunately for Houston, the team has been able to keep playing exceptional ball even with Bregman out of action.

Entering Wednesday’s showdown with the Royals, the Astros sit in first place of the AL West standings with their 74-52 record. Houston is 4.5 games ahead of Oakland and 5.5 games clear of Seattle.

As for Bregman, he was hitting .275, with seven home runs and 34 RBIs this campaign before going down with his injury. Now that he’s back fully healthy, he’ll look to get right back into midseason form and make a big impact for his club the rest of the way.
