Activision Blizzard and developer Toys for Bob have announced Crash Team Rumble, a 4v4 multiplayer game, at The Game Awards 2022. Crash Team Rumble – ScreenshotsAccording to the official description, Crash Team Rumble will have the titular bandicoot and other familiar faces from the franchise competing across a variety of arenas in a team-based setting. “To lead their squad to victory, players will slide, smash, bump, and bash as a team to be the ‘fur-st’ to bank the most Wumpa fruit in their drop-off zone while simultaneously defending the opponent team’s drop zone,” the press release notes. This is the latest installment to come from the franchise following the release of the 2021 endless runner mobile game, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!, which was developed by King and the latest Crash project to be developed by Toys for Bob following the release of 2020’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time.Crash Team Rumble is slated to launch sometime in 2023 for PS5, PS4, and Xbox consoles.
