After more than two years of being available in early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 finally has a release month: August 2023. Revealed at The Game Awards 2022, the full version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released in the summer.Developed by beloved RPG studio Larian, Baldur’s Gate 3 was first revealed back in 2019 with a grotesque trailer that depicted the horror of the story’s main antagonists: the mind flayers. Much like Larian’s previous Divinity: Original Sin games, Baldur’s Gate 3 was initially released via Steam Early Access in October 2020.Baldur’s Gate 3 Game Awards Trailer SlideshowWhile this version only covers the first segment of the story, it has steadily grown in features over the years, including the addition of new classes like the barbarian and bard, as well as tweaks to vital systems like dice rolls. Our initial Early Access review was positive, but noted that the RPG still needed some work before a full release. Hopefully the v1.0 lives up to its promise.
