You will soon be able to merge HDR, panoramic photographs in Capture One: Digital Photography Review

Capture One has announced a development update, confirming it will bring two of its most-requested features to its photo editing applications in December 2021: HDR and panorama merging.

The new features, which will be released alongside Capture One 22 later this year, will allow users to merge multiple photographs to create high dynamic range (HDR) images and panorama images. The addition of these features should help simplify the workflow of photographers who rely on these features and have previously had to use other programs, such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, to merge their HDR images and panorama shots.

In an email to DPReview, a Capture One representative said:
‘[HDR and panorama merge] combined with Capture One’s raw processing, high-functioning layers and masking etc will turn CO into a one-stop solution for many landscape photogs who would otherwise have to spend a lot of time bouncing between LR and Photoshop or CO and Photoshop.’
No further details have been provided at this time, but we should know more before the end of the year.
