Halo Infinite will not have campaign co-op or Forge at launch

343 Industries has confirmed that Halo Infinite will ship without campaign co-op and Forge mode, seemingly to give the features more time in development and in order to launch the game in its planned ‘holiday 2021’ window. In the latest development update video on YouTube (thanks, IGN), 343i’s creative lead Joseph Staten dropped the news that these key Halo features still need more time and therefore will miss launch, which is apparently still on track for the end of this year.Staten goes on to give rough time frames from when we can expect these features to be added to Halo Infinite — he describes the game’s planned season length to be three months, and suggests that we should see campaign co-op in the second season (so early next year), with Forge planned to follow in the third season, so around six months after launch. What do you make of this news? Will you still be diving into Halo Infinite at launch, or would you rather wait to experience the campaign with friends? Let’s hear ya!
