Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition’s new roguelike expansion The Virtuous Cycle launches tomorrow, and to celebrate, developer Cold Symmetry and publisher Playstack have announced that the DLC will be free to own for a limited time. From Thursday, August 18th until Monday, August 23rd, you can download The Virtuous Cycle for free on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS4, Steam, Epic Games Store and GoG. The new expansion adds a roguelike mode to the unforgiving action-RPG that will have you carving “your own path to deliverance in this self-altering world where no two runs are ever the same.” You will create your own combat style from over 100 upgrades found around Fallgrim and will be able to possess and play as new Shell, Hadern. The expansion also includes another 12 achievements to unlock worth a total of 300 Gamerscore. Mortal Shell: The Virtuous Cycle will be free to download and keep from August 18th until August 23rd.
