Here is what Quinn Ewers looks like in an Ohio State football uniform at Buckeyes practice.

Top 2022 quarterback prospect Quinn Ewers reclassified earlier this summer so he could enroll a full year early at Ohio State.

Ewers joins a cast of four-stars and five-stars who have never attempted a snap in college football. While he is not expected to play much, if at all, during his true freshman season, Ewers is the quarterback of the future for the Ohio State football program. Here he is making his Buckeyes debut in practice this week. Ewers already looks the part in scarlet and grey for them.

Ohio State football: First look of Quinn Ewers at Buckeyes practice

With C.J. Stroud projected as the Buckeyes’ Week 1 starter vs. the Minnesota Golden Gophers, look for Ewers, Jack Miller III and fellow newcomer Kyle McCord to push him every day in practice. Ryan Day has an excellent football team, but inconsistent to poor quarterback play is the one thing that will wreck Ohio State’s season. The Buckeyes are favored to win the Big Ten and make the playoff.

Ultimately, Ewers’ arrival in Columbus a semester before everyone expected he would be there has put all the other quarterbacks on notice. Whoever does not win the job out of camp is probably transferring as soon as he can. Ewers will need some time to get acclimated to the college game, but his talent is too immense to not push for the starting job in 2022. Will he be ready by then?

Ewers could have been a senior in high school, but he is taking snaps with the Ohio State program.
